Before you begin
Confirm support for your exact iPhone model, purchase region and carrier lock status. Connect to reliable Wi-Fi. Read your plan’s activation trigger before installing; installing too early may start some products’ validity.
Add the eSIM
Open Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Service, and look for Add eSIM. Follow the supplier’s QR-code, app or manual installation instructions. Menu labels vary by software version and region. A QR code is private: do not share it or post a screenshot publicly.
Label your lines clearly
Use a label such as Cruise data. Before connecting at sea, select the correct line for cellular data. Disable Allow Cellular Data Switching and disable data roaming on your home line. Follow the supplier’s roaming instructions for the cruise line.
Keep the eSIM installed
If connection fails, check ship coverage, network availability, plan status and your settings first. Do not delete the eSIM unless your provider confirms that you can reinstall it.
