Maritime data starts with the exact vessel
A cruise eSIM needs a participating onboard maritime mobile network. Two ships in the same fleet can have different arrangements. Check the exact vessel name, sailing date, network restrictions and current supplier confirmation before purchasing.
Sea days and port days are different
A maritime plan does not automatically include terrestrial mobile networks. When the ship is in port or close to land, maritime service may be unavailable. Arrange separate land data or Wi-Fi for your excursions and confirm the countries included in that product.
Mobile data is separate from ship Wi-Fi
An eSIM uses a mobile network. Your cruise line’s onboard Wi-Fi is a separate service. Availability, speed, restrictions and suitability depend on the ship and each provider. Neither option should be assumed to work everywhere onboard.
What you should confirm before buying
- Your exact vessel and current coverage verification.
- Where and when the maritime network is allowed to operate.
- Activation trigger, allowance, validity and installation deadline.
- Speed policies, hotspot permission, top-ups and support arrangements.
- Separate coverage for the countries on your itinerary.
Directory listings alone do not confirm service. Check the current evidence shown for your exact ship and sailing date. Listings do not imply cruise-line endorsement.
